Dalyan is a charming fishing village located in the Mugla Province of Turkey. The village is famous for its stunning Iztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, which is the nesting ground for the endangered Caretta-Caretta turtles. In addition to Turtle Beach, the village also features unique and therapeutic mud baths, which are an ideal way to relax and rejuvenate the body and mind.

Tour Program:

Pick up: The tour starts with a pick-up service from your hotel in Marmaris. You'll board a comfortable bus that will take you to the harbour of Marmaris, where a large boat awaits you. The boat departs at 9:30 am and takes you on an enjoyable journey to Dalyan.

Boat trip: During the boat trip to Dalyan, you'll witness the stunning views of the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. You'll have a half-hour break at Dolphin Island, where you can swim in the clear waters of the sea, sunbathe or just relax.

Lunch: In the afternoon, you'll arrive at Turtle Island, where a traditional Turkish lunch will be served. You'll be treated to delicious local dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. As you enjoy your meal, you'll be surrounded by breath-taking views of the Dalyan River and the lush green landscape.

River cruise: After lunch, you'll board a smaller boat and take a scenic river cruise on the Dalyan River. The river is famous for its diverse wildlife, including the Caretta-Caretta turtles, various bird species, and other marine life. During the cruise, you'll see the unique rock tombs carved into the cliffside, dating back to the ancient Lycian civilization.

King Tombs: During the boat trip on the Dalyan river, you will pass the King Tombs of Kaunos. These tombs are built in a lyrical style and date from the 10th century BC. Later, in 1500 AD the tombs were only built for kings and powerful people. There were lots of chambers full with food, money, jewellery and other precious treasures.

Mud Baths: The next stop is the famous mud baths of Dalyan. The mud baths are rich in minerals and are believed to have healing properties that can rejuvenate the skin and body. After applying the mud on your skin, you'll feel the therapeutic benefits of the minerals that are absorbed by your body. You'll also have the opportunity to take a dip in the sulphur springs, which are believed to have medicinal properties that can help treat skin conditions and other ailments.

Turtle Beach: The final destination of the tour is Turtle Beach, which is the breeding ground for the Caretta-Caretta turtles. The beach is a protected area, and visitors are advised to respect the nesting grounds of the turtles. You can observe the turtles from a safe distance and learn about their life cycle and conservation efforts.

Return: After spending a couple of hours at Turtle Beach, you'll return to the boat and start the journey back to the harbour of Marmaris. The bus will be waiting for you at the harbour to take you back to your hotel.
